Earth v Martians (the 2nd leg)

No-one would have believed, in the last years of the 1970s, that Jeff Wayne‘s affairs were being watched by the tireless world of geeks. No one could have dreamed that his work was being scrutinized as someone with a maths degree studies creatures that swarm and multiply in an episode of Star Trek. Few men even considered the possibility of life after the first album. And yet, across the gulf of space, a mind immeasurably superior to ours regarded this work with envious eyes, and slowly, and surely, he drew his plans to scare us.
